ABOUT US
We are persistent idealists. That was the first line used to describe us. Years later, we’re still idealists. Still persistent. Maybe a bit more pragmatic, but no less driven.
We believe, now as then, that all people share the same fundamental needs, hopes, and fears—and that these commonalities are what make us equal. Yet, in under a decade, we’ve watched patterns of behavior shift in troubling ways: the gap between “us” and “them” has widened, the push for progress has turned into a battle to defend hard-won rights, and even as extreme weather events grow more frequent, environmental concerns continue to take a back seat to human priorities.
When we started, our main goal was to challenge harmful mindsets and behaviors—and to help build new, sustainable, and fair alternatives. Today, our focus has expanded to include not just what needs to change, but how to make that change happen. That’s why we increasingly turn to gamification, creativity, and art. It’s also why we see young people as key target group.
PRIORITY STRATEGIC AREAS
Gender equality is the common thread running through everything we do. We focus on exposing the systemic roots of discrimination and advocating for conditions that enable women to fully realize their potential.
Alongside this, two other core areas shape our work. The first is the environment, where we not only promote sustainable, nature-based solutions but also emphasize the unique needs of women and marginalized communities. The second is the strengthening of civil society organizations, which we see as essential pillars of democratic and inclusive societies.
In our work on international development cooperation and humanitarian aid, we bring all of these areas together—while placing special focus on securing access to food and clean water.
Geographic Priorities: Sub-Saharan Africa, the Western Balkans, Slovenia, EU.
